The Post-Dispatch learned that the parking garage we currently use — east of our building, across 10th Street — will no longer be available to us after Aug. 12.
After talking with the company and hearing its plan explained, the Guild believes that it does meet the SHORT TERM needs of our members.
Please be assured, however, that the LONG-TERM parking situation will be among the most important issues we discuss when contract talks begin later in August.
We will hold a number of membership meetings next month to get input on parking and hear all other member concerns.
We also encourage any member who feels that the proposed SHORT-TERM solution creates an unsafe condition to please use the scheduling flexibility promoted by management to work from home until some more permanent solution is found.
